Booking Procedure

Sonorist makes booking an artist as simple and straightforward as possible, while making sure we have fully understood your exact requirements and are providing you with the most appropriate artist or artists.

Careful consultation and planning at the outset will make sure that the music for your concert, recital, event or wedding is exactly what is required and all goes according to plan.

Consultation

The first step is to get in touch with us for a no-obligation consultation. Whether you know exactly what you want, or want specific advice, we are here to help and advise. Sonorist has in-depth knowledge of each of the artists it represents and can therefore negotiate directly with the client, only needing to check availability with the artist. We will discuss all aspects of the booking - dates, times, repertoire, fees, deposit, payment details, cancellation notice, dress code, artist's requirements and so forth. For each engagement, Sonorist will provide you with a contract, detailing everything that has been agreed.

It is this detailed planning, attention to detail and foresightedness that ensures the end result meets your requirements in full.

Employment Agencies Act 1973

Sonorist works within the Employment Agencies Act 1973 and, as such, acts as either an Employment Agency or an Employment Business with regard to each engagement. There are advantages with each route and Sonorist will advise on the best way forward, given the individual circumstances of both you and your event.

Where Sonorist acts as an Employment Agency, your contract will be directly between you and the artist. Where Sonorist acts as an Employment Business, your contract will be directly with Sonorist, and Sonorist will contract separately with the artist. We will advise you of this fully after the initial consultation and before a booking is made.
